The Sparks Bureau of Business and Economic Research believes in serving the community through sharing information and providing local, regional, national, and international economic and business data. The SBBER currently offers two publications as a means of community service.

Business Perspectives - Business Perspectives is the quarterly magazine of the Bureau and the Center. Serving well over 4,000 national and international subscribers, including business professionals, educators, students, and government officials, each issue of the magazine focuses on a specific topic of interest to the business, education, and government communities. The publication highlights experts in the topic field who examine and discuss the chosen topic. Interests include the global, national, and regional economies. In 2001, this magazine was honored with the Association of University Business and Economic Research (AUBER) Award of Excellence.

The Memphis Economy - The Memphis Economy is the SBBER’s monthly electronic newsletter and includes local news media and business professionals, educators and students, and government officials. The Memphis Economy provides national and regional economic data to the target audience. The newsletter also contains a monthly news article concerning the local economy. Data presented are for the Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area (Memphis MSA), which is composed of Shelby, Tipton, and Fayette counties in Tennessee; DeSoto County in Mississippi; and Crittenden County in Arkansas.

Coming Soon – The Center for Real Estate Research is in the process of designing its first publication. Look for it in 2008!

The SBBER is also designing its first interoffice quarterly newsletter. Look for it in early 2008!
